Abuse & Neglect Prevention
This committee is responsible for State Prevention Plan and works on increasing the knowledge base of The Five Protective Factors through service provider trainings, community awareness Broward AWARE campaign, and informing funders of community needs/partnerships.

Promotes awareness of the Five Protective Factors while bridging the gap between service providers & the community through events, media, literature, & trainings.

Identifies and connects partners for the Domestic Violence System to collect & share data for planning, prevention, & intervention strategies.

Behavioral Health
Identifies best practices trainings for children's mental & physical health by collecting training for school personnel, behavioral health staff, & faith-based/other providers. Aligning resources to foster the integration of primary health and behavioral health while collecting data for gap analysis to identify areas of under-reporting and community needs assessment.

Broward Early Childhood Education Collaboration (BECEC)
Develops strategies to strengthen the availability of high-quality early care and education opportunities for children birth to 5. Goals and objectives are accomplished through three sub-sections: Fiscal Advocacy, Transition, & Workforce Development.

Works to raise awareness about Human Trafficking and serves as an information, education, and networking resource for organizations as well as the community.

Stop Trafficking & Rescue Survivors (Youth)
Primarily focused on the “youth” (under age 18) victims of human trafficking, and the extremely vulnerable population coming from foster care.

Campaign for Grade Level Reading
Focuses on helping committees and policymakers promote school readiness and quality teaching, tackle chronic absence, and improve summer learning, as well as engage parents as their children’s first teachers.The coalition seeks to Unify Stakeholders, Align Initiatives, and Identify Gaps.

Works to establish amd nurture a community involvement that provides all children and families the means to become and remain safe, secure, and self-sufficient.

Children's Health Broward County Comprehensive School Health Advisory Committee
Works to ensure all youth in Broward County Public Schools are healthy. Works to form and maintain extensive collaboration between families, schools, communities, health care providers, public health decision makers and researchers to produce improvements in the system of health care for youth in schools.

The Task Force meetings provide a forum for community members, programs, and agencies to connect, share resources, and plan together on events and initiatives working collaboratively to achieve common goals.

Establishes partnerships among the private sector, the public sector, state government, local government, community alliances, and maternal and child health care providers, for the provision of coordinated community-based prenatal and infant health care.

Minority Success Task Force
Focuses on the development of plans and processes for addressing Minority Male Success (MMS) in Broward County. Initiatives include creating and sustaining infrastructures for success in education, work, and life, and the utilization of existing entities, organizations, and resources for cross-sector collaborative efforts.

Positive Youth Development
Broward County schools and funders of community based child services provide prevention education, services, and campaigns. Specifically, the committee will look at improving the quality of youth development services, including youth voice, and expanding opportunities for youth (ie: jobs, internships, etc).

Identifies best practices for community engagement and education on topics that contribute to ensuring children live in safe and supportive communities. Compiles findings into distributable materials and trainings such as the Daily Living Toolkit.

Forms partnerships with local agencies to build a data collection of TIL in order to create an effective affordable housing infrastructure, increase juvenile justice prevention/decrease recidivism, & identify opportunities for TIL youth ages 18-23 to obtained higher levels of education.
